Senior year, I had the honor of creating my own exhibition. So, being a fan of cinema, I decided to do a series of abstract movie posters. I assigned patterns I’d drawn to different basic plot lines, drew color schemes from the movies themselves, and then played around with the compositions until they felt referential enough to the source material while standing on their own. In their final form, these pieces were 24” x 36” hanging in a public gallery for two weeks.
